Between 2005 and 2007, a member of one of our roundtables has improved his profitability from 1.4% to 3.2%, while increasing owner’s salary from 2.5% of sales to 5.4% of sales. What is a Roundtable?
The concept of a roundtable is simple and effective. Eight to ten non-competing lumber dealers get together twice a year to discuss ways to improve their businesses. There are many topics that are addressed. Typically, the owner of the business and one of his key people attend each meeting. The concept also works very well for Operation Managers, Controllers and CFO’s, and Sales Managers should you be interested.
